a hundred books

>> Friday, May 08, 2009

2006 was a Starbucks year. I spent my salary on Starbucks and got myself a planner.
2007 was a 60s year for me. I got introduced to the Beatles, wrote a script about the 60s, got addicted to the Bloomfields ( :| =)) ), and watched Hairspray.
2008 was a musical year. I fangirled over West Side Story twice (front seats mind you), watched Hairspray with friends, got staged by TA, and was mesmerized by Rep's Christmas Carol.

2009 is a book year. Doulos came to the Philippines and I added to by book collection by hoarding children's books and classics. Here in the office, we borrow books from each other. I've finished Adi's book list, I'm partly through Ailen's own collection, and I'm currently reading a book from Teacher Beth.

I got this book meme from Roni. This list will definitely place my goal for this year to read increase my reading list.

Shakespeare - A LOT

My real total would be:
46

Di parin umabot ng 100. Hahaha
So many books, so little money! Ayoko ng e-book, masakit sa mata. And I won't be able to bring it wherever I go. Hassle pag nagdala pa ako ng laptop.

Oh ayan, that's also a wishlist for Christmas!

This is my to-read list after the Time Traveler's Wife. I musn't run out of books to read while I'm at the MRT. Reading makes the trip shorter and I don't mind the stations passing by as the book engulfs me.

To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee
Animal Farm by George Orwell
Sherlock Holmes Mysteries by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle

So is anyone willing to lend me their books? I promise to take care of your books. I'm a bookworm myself, I follow my own set of rules in handling a book.

Gifting me with a book would be so much better. Haha

Ah yes, so many books, so little time. And oo nga, masakit sa mata ang e-books. Gastos naman kapag pinaprint pa. Haha!

Nice. I'll try this out too! For tomorrow's post! :)
