No internet last week at work meant one thing: procrastination via Minesweeper.

I did three grids in the span of 3 days. I was that frustrated with the internet.

Oh, I have a student number already for my Masters' Degree at UP: 2009-78771.
It's fo realz. I'm going back to school!

2. BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. I have no other words for it; I immediately burst out laughing when I saw this.

Credit to Snarkies.

3. A quote from Cookie's Twitter Interview:

Q: What is your most memorable moment from your trip to Manila?
"At the end of the show when we brought Archie back on the set and the entire audience of 150,000 people sang along with us, it was powerful."

I remember seeing Cookie being overwhelmed during that moment. He squatted then held his hand to his mouth in awe. Epic.

4. I'm such a fangirl. I'm listed at the kradam sites:

glambert # = 2876
globert (global lambert) # = 145
Philambert (Philippine Lambert) # - 38

K-sizzle Allenation Philippines# = 2

24 years ago, a woman dressed in a simple white dress walked down the aisle at exactly 430 PM. A man, donning a white suit and a white tie, waited for her lady at the front of the chapel. He beamed as he saw his life unfold before him. In a few minutes, they would say their "I do's," and their vows.

After 24 strong years, their vows are still intact. For better or for worse, in sickness and in health, they have stood strong in the face of adversity and triumph. Through laughter and in pain, they have held hands and have stayed together.

To my parents who treat each other as if they were still boyfriend-girlfriend,

Happy 24th Anniversary!

season 8 is over, but the celebration isn't.

I vote for Kradam. I started off as a Lambchop fan then gained favorites during the course of the season. All I wanted was a Kradam finals. And I got it.

May the winner of American Idol please raise his hand.

Just click on the link because you might kill me if I post the spoiler. But I'm guessing all of you watched the 8am show, Manila time. Hehehe

an adamazing and a kick-awesome finals

AI8 spoilers ahead. I warned yah

I'll be posting tweets from other idols from the past seasons in between my comments. It's so amusing that the idols are following this season and they have their own bets. My favorite twitter person for today's performance: Chris Sligh of Season 6.

Tweeet from Archieboo who just got a new haircut: Going to the Tuesday finale show for AI tonight!

Personal Choice
Adam sings Mad World (my most favorite Adam song). What is Adam wearing? Oh a trench coat. I feel like I'm watching a movie with the entrance. What's up with the fog and the stairs? :)) They all loved it. What do you expect, they love the Glambert. I love him too.

Randy says Twilight.
Simon says Phantom of the Opera.

Tweet from Cris Sligh (Season six): I love Adam Lambert. I think he has the best voice in Idol history. But how can u not wanna vote for Kris? He's the underdog. Vote Kris

Kris Allen sings Ain't No Sunshine. The piano looks schmexy on you bb. Katy is so pretty. Simon claps for Kris. The audience is on their feet! Simon approves!

Michael Castro tweets: Kris ftw tonight!! Who's with me?!

Darth Vader speaks. Round one goes to Kris.

Producer's choice
Change is gonna come for Adam. That tie Adam. It's like Kris' tie during the Rat Pack week. It's not fixed properly! Hahahaha LOVE THE LAST NOTE.

Kris during the Rat Pack Week: NOTE THE TIE.

Adam always has his tie fixed. The top button is always... buttoned. But today was different. Unbuttoned and loose tie. OH COME ON. Kradam proof.

Blake Lewis tweeting inside the theater: At idol. This finale is going to be great. Adam and kris both sound huge in the Nokia Theater

Maaaan I'm confused. I don't know who I want to win!!! Ohhh Katie Holmes and Suri in the house!

What's going On, Kris? He is the music man. First the piano, and now the guitar! Love the last note too! I have a good feeling these two are sharing notes with each other. HALABYOOO TOO KRIS.

Shut up Randy. Light?! That's Kris for you. Kris will never be glam and deal with it. Headdesk to Simon and your metaphors. Three friends in a bedroom? Oh camon.

I'm guessing round two goes to Adam, without asking for Darth Vader's opinion.

GLEE RULES. I WATCHED THE FIRST EPISODE AND I LOVED IT. Give me the second episode now! Not in September, but noooow.

Ohhh there's a new show: Mental. Looks interesting.

No Boundaries written by Kara Dioguardi. Okhaaaay. This is the downfall of Season 8.

Alex Wagner-Trugman tweets: At the idol show with taylor. Definitely not supposed to have a phone. Seacrest is so shiny...

I wonder who taylor is. Girlfriend?

Adam on the last word: Boun-daaaaaaa-rs. HAHAHAHAHA Di umabot yung "-ries" =))

Cris Sligh Tweets: Sheesh what a dumb song.

Ok Kara only liked the performance because she wrote it. WEEHHHHH.

Simon has found the star in Adam. WOOOOOOO. *dances*

Rickey: That song was haaa-ree-ble.

@americnidolvote: RT @maritajan: #americanidol the idol song always sucks. Adam did what he could

ChrisSligh: My lyrics for next year's winner song: I'm at the top of a hill Gonna test my will The rainbows are gonna fly With beautiful color oh my!

The song does not fit the voice quality of my two BBs.

Kris is straining his voice! You can see his struggle on the chorus. He's he pulling his head back while hitting those high notes.

Request to Kris and Adam: If one of you wins and records an album with this sucky song as a single, please please refuse.

I'd give the vote to the Kradam just for suffering through that song. Hahaha. Seriously.

Awww Kris' mother is dashing tonight. KLC is in the audience.

AWWWWWW KRADAM HUG. LALALALALALALALA. Wow, congratulations. You did not go overtime.

Carrie Underwood live with video clips from the auditions to Hollywood week. I want a copy of this song.

BlakeLewis Kris?? So typical. Adam slayed it the whole season. All my peoples have a great night and support my dude Adam Lambert. Boooyakasha.
AnoopDoggDesai What an amazing experience this has been
michaelsarver1 This has been the ride of a life time. Thank you God for all you've done for me.
Michael_Castro Mad world? Boringggg. Let's go kris!
PhilStacey Adam wins... But I'm way more of a Kris Allen fan.
Idol360 I don't want either of them to release that song.
dannygokey I have to say it was still such a great experience being in the crowd tonight! Im so thankful for how my life has went from pain to gain!

The tweets are coming in like crazyyyyyy. I'll stop pasting tweets now. Tomorrow will be a big day. KRADAM FTW!

Two more videos!

Heroes - Hear us sing along with the back-up vocals "We are still standing!!!" Forgive our out-of-tune singing/screaming. We couldn't hear ourselves with the overwhelming music.

You Can

The crappy videos are in my Multiply. I have more Cookie videos because it was late when I realized that I could take videos using my phone, since the digicam was running low on memory.

Oh, the following links are locked for contacts. Ehehe.
1. Waiting on Yesterday - Archie
2. Declaration - Cookie
3. Bar-Ba-Sol - Cookie
4. Come Back To Me - Cookie
5. A Daily AntheM - David Cook and David Archuleta

Tia wrote an article about her experience. Check it out at the wmn.ph website! She immortalized my name and Chikai's. =))

double epic D

>> Sunday, May 17, 2009

My throat hurts with all the screaming, BUT IT DOESN'T MATTER! Consider it my "battle scars" for last night's concert.

It was awesome. It was great. It was THE experience of the year.

I'm as speechless as Archie. Thank you is all I can say. Tia, Chikai and I had a blast. You two Davids definitely rocked Mall of Asia!

Photo from Snarky Archies

It's funny how people's reactions can trigger a domino effect. Around 8:00 PM While waiting for the concert to start, we heard screams from the back. Everyone stood from their chairs to see what was happening, maybe Archie decided to enter from the gold section or something. We whirled around and stretched our necks. Haha, the people at the back wanted some love and attention.

At 8:30 PM, lights were dimmed and we saw silhouettes of people taking their places. Everyone were on their feet and cheered. The guitars strung the first note, the keyboard keyed in the first chord, the music increased its volume. We screamed some more.

I strained my voice the moment Archie stepped on to the stage. EPIC MOMENT STARTS NOW!!

I am a fan of Archie's keyboardist, Kendra. She harmonized on all of Archie's songs, she played the keyboards AND played the violin. GO KENDRA!

Now I know the band members. Alex is the bassist, Eli is the drummer aaand Mike on the guitar. I wasn't able to take photos of Eli and Mike. Meh.

Thanks to the Snarkies for the setlist.

ZERO GRAVITY!!!! Wooohooooo! The world just disappears, when you're near. It's like zero gravity! Archie kept jumping up and down, running from one side to another. It was too cute.

Zero Gravity from yumi pitargue on Vimeo.

Cookie had an interesting entrance. If you've seen some videos of the Idol tour last year, you'll be familiar with the ascending platform in the middle of the stage. Cookie appeared from the trap door -- what a rockstar entrance. FOR THE WIN.

Someone held up a poster, asking Neal to marry him. Hahaha
Neal, Kyle, Joey, Andy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Cookie went down the stage to the Titanium section. ERRRR UNFAIR. HE SHOULD'VE GONE TO OUR SECTION! He grabbed some cameras pointed at him and took photos of himself.

The World I Know

Life on the Moon
Always Be My Baby (the crowd went berserk with this. hahaha ABMB fans unite! =)) ew haahah)

Come Back to Me

I wasn't able to take a video of all performances because (1) I only had 1 GB worth of memory for BOTH the Davids, and (2) I had to make sure that I had enough battery all throughout the show. I'll just post the links of the videos as soon as Tia and Chikai posts theirs.

We saw Daddy Jeff Archuleta watching from the stage wings!

For the encore (or was it a planned song to end the night?) Cook sang A Daily AntheM for us. He didn't forget to mention his dear brother Adam, who passed away with his battle against cancer. Nearing the end of the song, he called on Archie to sing the "wooo-aaah" part. Archie put a poppish twist to the song. Heeehee, cute. It was epic because Cookie and Archie stopped singing, the band stopped playing, and they let the audience sing last lines. It was amazing to see the people waving their hands up in the air while singing in unison.

They ended the night with a sweaty Cookleta hug. AWWWW!!! BIG BROTHER-LITTLE BROTHER MOMENT! I LOVE THOSE TWO.

P.S. Thanks to Adi for lending me her camera. Hehe DSLRs weren't allowed in the premises. BOOO. My zoom lens would be perfect to see the Davids up close.

Both Davids were mobbed by the fans and the media. It's an overflow of love for the Davids! Little D was engulfed by the people who went to the airport to meet him; you couldn't see him in the sea of people. Hahaha Poor bb.

LALALALALALALALALALALALALALALA. I can't concentrate on my work anymore. 4 nights to go and I'll wake up to an awesome and epic DAVID-DAVID MUSICAL EXPERIENCE.

4/4 shoot

>> Sunday, May 10, 2009

We had another photoshoot yesterday at Jace's uncle's house. I think it was the most number of themes we did in the span of one day. So many costume changes, poses, and chatter in between takes. It was definitely fun!

Flickr has most of em!

More at my Multiply.
1: Picnic By The Pool
2: Chillin' on a Summer Day
3: Fatal Love
4: I am a feeshee!!

I was a lazy photographer yesterday, so most of the photos were taken by Cerz, Cams or Miyo. They babysitted my camera while the owner tried so hard to be a model. I only took full ownership on the photos at the second shoot, which was the murder scene. I fail at being goth/dark so I sat out on that.

The last shoot wasn't supposed to happen because we ran out of time already, and I was nagging them to let me swim. The water was really inviting and the hot weather was just pushing me to jump into the pool. However, Cerz prolonged my swimming by making me sit on the chair and putting make up on me. I'm a fish in the water!

>> Friday, May 08, 2009

2006 was a Starbucks year. I spent my salary on Starbucks and got myself a planner.
2007 was a 60s year for me. I got introduced to the Beatles, wrote a script about the 60s, got addicted to the Bloomfields ( :| =)) ), and watched Hairspray.
2008 was a musical year. I fangirled over West Side Story twice (front seats mind you), watched Hairspray with friends, got staged by TA, and was mesmerized by Rep's Christmas Carol.

2009 is a book year. Doulos came to the Philippines and I added to by book collection by hoarding children's books and classics. Here in the office, we borrow books from each other. I've finished Adi's book list, I'm partly through Ailen's own collection, and I'm currently reading a book from Teacher Beth.

I got this book meme from Roni. This list will definitely place my goal for this year to read increase my reading list.

So many books, so little money! Ayoko ng e-book, masakit sa mata. And I won't be able to bring it wherever I go. Hassle pag nagdala pa ako ng laptop.

Oh ayan, that's also a wishlist for Christmas!

This is my to-read list after the Time Traveler's Wife. I musn't run out of books to read while I'm at the MRT. Reading makes the trip shorter and I don't mind the stations passing by as the book engulfs me.

To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee
Animal Farm by George Orwell
Sherlock Holmes Mysteries by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle

So is anyone willing to lend me their books? I promise to take care of your books. I'm a bookworm myself, I follow my own set of rules in handling a book.

Gifting me with a book would be so much better. Haha

A Daily AntheM :(

>> Monday, May 04, 2009

If I told you that you're everything,
Would you sing along?
It's a daily anthem
Would you sing my song,
At the top of your lungs?

BREAKING NEWS: David Cook’s Brother Adam Dies

After a long and valiant struggle with brain cancer, “American Idol” winner David Cook’s brother Adam died at 1 a.m. this morning at a hospice in Terre Haute, IN.

A family friend told RadarOnline.com exclusively, “Adam passed away peacefully.

“He was surrounded by his family, including his wife Kendra, his children, his father and his step-mom, among others.”

David was rushing back on a jet when his beloved brother died.

“The family thought that Adam would go much sooner than this, actually,” said the Cook family friend.

“That’s why David left his tour a few weeks back so that he could be with Adam.

“They said their goodbyes then.”

But Adam, 36, rallied briefly after that…and David returned to his concert tour.

“He took a turn for the worse this weekend and David rushed to get home.”

But sadly he couldn’t make it in time.

Last year, friends of the stricken lawyer arranged a $45,000 trip on a chartered medical jet to Los Angeles so Adam could see David perform on Idol.

:( My deepest condolences to Cookie. Our hunches were right, as to why he canceled some of his shows. He really loves his brother.

labor day with the animals

>> Saturday, May 02, 2009

Celebrating Labor Day is confusing. Labor Day is devoted to thanking God for work, but we celebrate it by not going to work. Think about it. It's that one day that everyone looks forward to, but we're celebrating it in the wrong way.

Anyway, I spent my Labor Day by taking my godchild Cielo to see the animals. We went to the Avilon Zoo, which is located somewhere in Montalban, Rizal. I enjoyed the trip because we saw different animals and my zoom lens proved to be worthy of taking close up shots of dangerous animals.

Cielo was funny. She was fascinated with the crocodiles. After passing by the cages of the crocodiles, she kept on pulling her dad's arm back to the crocodile lair. So when we thought she loved the predators, we took her to see the cougars. She hated the big cats.

are you my lunch?
Are you my lunch?

Go visit Avilon Zoo. Entrance fee is 250 for adults and 200 for kids. Visit them at Avilonzoo.com.ph for directions. I'm bad with directions so I'll just give you the link to the map instead. :P It's seven hectares of birds, reptiles, mammals, fish, monkeys, big cats, insects and amphibians.
