What is the standing of our athletes at the Beijing Olympics? Let's have a quick review.

WEIGHTLIFTING
1. Hidilyn Diaz
August 11 - 330 pm - weightlifing women's 58 group A
She finished 11 out of 12 competitors. I was only able to watch clips of her round at the sports news because I didn't know what time Solar Sports airs the said sport. According to Adi, Hidilyn was able to lift at the first try. At the second try, she was able to lift the weights on her shoulders, but wasn't able to have a full lift. I'm not sure what happened at the third lift.

SHOOTING
1. Eric Ang
August 8 - 9 am - men's trap qualifications (rank: 30)
August 10 - 9 am - men's trap qualifications (rank: 35)
He uh.. ranked 35 out of 35. Excitement got the hold of him. Too much excitement.

ARCHERY
1. Mark Javier
August 9 - 330 - men's individual ranking round (rank: 36)
August 13 - 330 - men's individual 1/32 eliminations
This was a close fight. He was up against Kuo Cheng Wei of Chinese Taipei. He scored 102, Kuo Cheng Wei scored 106. 5 targets short of winning the match.

SWIMMING (it's so difficult to make it to the next round because a millisecond makes a HUGE difference. 1 second seems like an eternity when it comes to swimming)

Cockley finished 6th in his heat (time: 22.69), 39 out of 97 overall.

2. Ryan Paolo Arabejo
August 15 - 655 pm - men's 1500m freestyle (heat 1)

3. James Walsh
August 11 - 705 pm - men's 200m butterfly (heat 2)

Simms finished 7 out of 7 (time: 57.17), 41 out of 48 overall.
