What a great way to end the month!

After weeks and weeks of photoshopping, spiel-writing and late-night work hours, our event finally blasted off to space. It was a whole day topped with loooots of activities and boy, we were so damn exhausted after. We were there from 8 am till around 930 pm. I didn't join the team for dinner anymore because I was sweaty, sticky and goddamn tired.

I was already feeling woozy and sick that day, but I didn't want to ruin the event. I pushed myself and my strength. Now I'm down with the fever and the sniffles. HAHAHAHAHA

It wuz fun. It was my first time to wall climb, traverse and go rapelling! I am hooked. Seriously. I even asked the Tribu guys where I could go climbing around the metro. MONIX I WANNA GO CLIMBING PA! I don't care if my body is sooo sore with the climbing. Slight fever + hot weather + being tired + wall climbing = TOTAL SICKNESS.

Oh, thank you to my Beb and Owen for visiting me! Ay nako Monix your brother ha, di nagsasalita.

Sandy Prieto has the most beautiful boys ever. Srsly, I have a kiddie crush on them. I should've asked for a photo with Luca and Ben. =))

I met Janet and Carina! Aww, too bad, Noey wasn't there, I wasn't able to introduce myself. Hahahaha They left early, just right after their interview and some wall climbing. My picture with them is in the training laptop.

Woahwoah, star studded. We were able to invite Wesley So, the youngest chess grandmaster in the whole world. WHOLE WORLD BABY! Queena Lee-Chua's wiz child, Scott, also played chess. Wiz kids rule.

It's the first time I took over 1300+ pictures in one day. I just kept on clicking and clicking and clicking. It was more than 1 GB, so I couldn't save them all in my USB. I only got to save a thousand.

I'm not posting coherently. It's because my brain is not working. It's on a holiday! TILL TOMORROW! WHOHOOOO!

Congratulations Galileo! *champagne glasses clinking*

Sir Al: How do you spell education?
Answer: G-A-L-I-L-E-O!

You know where to go for the influx of photos.

Customizing your google home page is swanky. And I have a swanky google home page.

It's called the "I Need Sleep" layout. :)) They don't have the "I need a raise," because if they did, I'm sooo gonna make that my homepage. hahahahaha

I requested a Josh Groban theme. I even told the other Grobanites to keep on requesting. Because when the team sees that a lot of people want a particular theme, they'll make one.

It's so unfair. They have a Taylor Hicks theme, but no Josh Groban? AREYOUSERIOUSSSSS? I want my kulot, nao.

Because this is a cool site and I want to spread the love, I will promote it.

I had a list of choices:
1. Rent
2. The Corpse Bride
3. Battle Royale - I AM NORIKO!!!!!! I liiiveee! *laughter thunder lightning*
4. House, M.D.
5. The Office

But then, Jace showed me the "I need sleep," which won my morning. Chachiiing! I have a new google homepage!

Go, go, visit the page!

P.S. REQUEST FOR JOSH GROBAN! sige naaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.

keep me ever close to you

Dolly Parton night is my most favorite performance night of season 7. Surprisingly. :)) I don't know much about Dolly Parton and why she's famous, except for the fact that she's short and she looks uhh. scary. hahaha

I don't know if I have posted this already, but this is my most favorite Jason Castro song. The beat makes you want to flail your arms around and dance to it. I was clueless about this song. But hey, the lyrics are nice and inspiring. It makes you smile.

The whole and studio version can be found here.

Travelin' Through
by Dolly Parton

Well I can't tell you where I'm going, I'm not sure of where I've been
But I know I must keep travelin' till my road comes to an end
I'm out here on my journey, trying to make the most of it
I'm a puzzle, I must figure out where all my pieces fit

Like a poor wayfaring stranger that they speak about in song
I'm just a weary pilgrim trying to find what feels like home
Where that is no one can tell me, am I doomed to ever roam
I'm just travelin', travelin', travelin', I'm just travelin' on

Questions I have many, answers but a few
But we're here to learn, the spirit burns, to know the greater truth
We've all been crucified and they nailed Jesus to the tree
And when I'm born again, you're gonna see a change in me

God made me for a reason and nothing is in vain
Redemption comes in many shapes with many kinds of pain
Oh sweet Jesus if you're listening, keep me ever close to you
As I'm stumblin', tumblin', wonderin', as I'm travelin' thru

I'm just travelin', travelin', travelin', I'm just travelin' thru
I'm just travelin', travelin', travelin', I'm just travelin' thru

Oh sometimes the road is rugged, and it's hard to travel on
But holdin' to each other, we don't have to walk alone
When everything is broken, we can mend it if we try
We can make a world of difference, if we want to we can fly

Goodbye little children, goodnight you handsome men
Farewell to all you ladies and to all who knew me when
And I hope I'll see you down the road, you meant more than I knew
As I was travelin', travelin', travelin', travelin', travelin' thru

I'm just travelin', travelin', travelin', I'm just travelin'
Drifting like a floating boat and roaming like the wind
Oh give me some direction lord, let me lean on you
As I'm travelin', travelin', travelin', thru

I'm just travelin', travelin', travelin', I'm just travelin' thru
I'm just travelin', travelin', travelin', I'm just travelin' thru

Like the poor wayfaring stranger that they speak about in song
I'm just a weary pilgrim trying to find my own way home
Oh sweet Jesus if you're out there, keep me ever close to you
As I'm travelin', travelin', travelin', as I'm travelin' thru

I disagree with Simon on his thoughts about Jason's song. It was a good rendition and I downloaded the performance song as soon as I listened to it. No biases, promise. :) I loved all performances of the Dolly Parton songs, but Jason's and Cookie's performances won the night.

I'm planning to do a recap of the top 12. I just need a whole day to do this because I want funky photos and long descriptions. I want their live CD nao. I'm not over the AI addiction!

Lucky day? Unlucky day?

I don't care. All I know is that...

HAHAHAHAHAAH I don't know if that's a scream of happiness or some other kind of expression.

Ew, I feel so old.

So uhhh, there. Happy anniversary to me? =))

Let's just celebrate with moar work and moar of this AI, Lee Mead and Josh Groban addiction, shall we? Yes. Better.

*frolics away*

smash those rackets for the French Open 2008

>> Monday, June 09, 2008

Rafael Nadal is still the king of clay. He defended his title against Roger Federer, winning three sets in a row: 6-1, 6-3, 6-0. Fed looked like a puny little tennis boy against the strong smashes of Rafa. These two players had nothing against each other, but high praises.

Fed is the top seeder tennis player, winning over 50+ titles at age 26. Rafa comes in second, equally strong as the Fed. Rafa's only 22 (damn, we have the same birth month) and he has a long way to go to reach the top spot. Being number two isn't so bad at all, because Rafa has made a name for himself as one of the most excellent tennis players in history.

As I was watching the men's finals last night, I studied the moves of these two players. Nadal was born righty, but his coach forced him to play with his left hand. Coach saw the potential and the strength if Nadal uses his left hand to hit those balls. Coach was right. Nadal's backhands hit the ball at high speeds, sending the ball to hit at the corners of baselines. That's a difficult maneuver, and it takes great skill to accomplish that.

Federer's approach is different. He's a frisky player, bouncing off all sides of the court. He can run from one sidecourt to another, just in time to catch the ball and hit it back to the other court. When the ball returns to his court, he runs towards the net, tapping the ball slightly. The ball tosses back to the other court, just near the net, giving the opponent a split second to realize that he has to run for his life and save that ball from bouncing twice.

But it seems that Nadal prepared for Federer's moves. He used Federer's trick to his advantage. Once Fed was near the net, Nadal used a forehand to hit the ball back to the baseline. It was too late for Fed to react. As he was on his way to the baseline, the ball bounces off the court, giving a point to the Rafa.

It was a good game and both players ended the game with smiles. No hard feelings, and they were still good friends.

As for the women's singles, Ivanovic won over Safina. Safina defeated Sharapova in the 4th round, playing her way to the finals. Safina had high hopes. If she could beat the top seeder, she can beat the second seeder.

Ivanovic wasn't intimidated with Safina's large shoulder muscles. Her light figure helped her sprint from one side to another. Ivanovic won the title, 6-4, 6-3. By today, she's taking over the first spot and Sharapova is dropping to the second spot.

I love watching the women's events, because of their fashion. The tennis court is not only a place for a game rally, but a catwalk for the women's tennis wear. Ivanovic wore a very pretty orange dress with frills on the skirt area.

Oh gawsh, look at those muscles. Safina is only 22, and Ivanovic is 20. *blank face* They're of my generation and they're raking in money and athletic power.

Wimbledon's next on the 23rd! All for Fed!

Who said you can't have an exchange gift session in the middle of the year?

Lookie what I got from Chikai!

After nine months, Chikai and I finally met up again at the place where we first met: Trinoma. This time, we moved up to the second level. We hung out in front of Seattle's Best (note: OUTSIDE Seattle's Best because we didn't buy coffee. hhahaha) and chatted for a few minutes. I was waiting for our time slot in Kung Fu Panda. Since I had time to spare, I agreed on meeting up with Chikai, who was also in Trinoma with her dad.

As usual, our topic of conversation consisted of three things:
1. American Idol - Chikai is my fellow AI addict. She's more addicted to me because she downloaded almost all AI videos and placed it in her iPod. Weeeeell, I don't have an iPod so the only thing I can save are songs, which are in my iTunes in my phone. Fine, equally addicted. =))
2. Narnia - High King Peter, King Edmund and Prince Caspian. 'Nuff said.

commercial: I made two icons of my two favorite characters in the movie. Watch it, it's nice. The cinematography has improved from the first movie. Sucky slow-motion scenes kasi. :))

3. Lee Mead - we watched Daydream Believer sung by Lee Mead on her iPod. Cheer up sleepy jeaaan, oh what can it mean to a daydream believer and a home coming que-ee-eeen!

The bulk was AI. ehehehe. he. he. he. Sorry na! We still have AI stamped on our faces. Well, at least Narnia was there to share the addiction, but Narnia doesn't have guitar hero and forgotten lyrics. We can work it ou-uuut!

Oh, don't forget the obligatory photo! This serves as attendance. =)) Chikai brought Nick, I brought Joshua. Yippity ya yo! Joshua has met his ninang. :P

Thanks Chikai! And oh, Merry Christmas. =))

Scrap the introduction because it's in Dutch. Unless you understand Dutch, then you can translate it for me. It doesn't matter if Lee isn't in his Egyptian loin cloth costume. He's getting better and better. He improved from the last time I saw him sing the same song a few months ago.

The low notes are amazing. Escalating to that ending made me want to give him a standing ovation right here in the office. Don't ever close the door on Lee Mead!

In connection to reality theater show, "I'd do Anything" has concluded. Jodie won the Nancy part. Gwion, Laurence and Harry were selected as the three Olivers. Yay for Gwion. I'm not sure of Laurence and Harry. Harry would actually be a better Artful Dodger. Pffft. I wanted Kwayezda and Chester. Oh well, I heard Chester's landing a role in the cast of Les Miserables. Yay! His theater career ain't over yet! At the last episode, Lee sang with the Olivers. It was so cuuuuuute.

Based on the last performance, I think Jessie should've won the lot. Her duet with Gwion showed that even at a young age, she can pass as a mother material to an Oliver. The other Nancys teared up after their duet. It was the only performance that I saw chemistry between a Nancy and an Oliver.

Take me now to West End. These reality shows makes me want to swim to London to see Gwion and Lee play on stage. hahahahaha GWIONISSOFREAKINCUTEIWANTTOPINCHHISCHEEEEEKS.
