new addition to my deviant art. more pictures there.

stalker mode.. ON.

lately, edlyn and i have been staying online till 1 am. we're both on a christmas vacation, meaning we kindaaa have nothing to do the next day so we stay up late stalking people.

i miss college days when 12 am was just the start of my night, ready to write papers and to complete presentations. haha

we were stalking this guy i found cute. we searched the net for pictures, possible place where he is studying, and other sites where he had links to. we even got to the point of considering the possibility of a relationship.

edlyn: "pwedeng pwede!"

mhen, i barely even know the guy. hahahahahaha

everything that we did (or will still do) concerning this guy shouldn't be taken seriously. everything was for fun and we were just doing what girls would like to do. i just can't post pictures of him. i'll leave it to my amusement. :P

Play it, Sam. Play 'As Yawmee Goes By'.

three movies down!

>> Tuesday, December 26, 2006

basta swangit yung ending.

benta yung pagkasabaw ni sandara park. "huwoooooow???" <--san kaya nanggaling yung reaction na yon? haha for the first time, naappreciate ko ang pagkabarok ni sandara.

ok yung effects, except for the mulawin part. parang metal wings.

yung car sequence, sa fairview shi-noot. 10 mins away from our house! haha promise, kilala ko yung lugar na yon, pwede-pwedeng i-pinpoint kung san sila exactly nagshoot.

jao mapa winner! kamusta naman ang age difference ni mark herras at jao mapa? isipin mo. at mag-tatay sila. think of the age difference mhen. ilang taon kaya nagkaanak si jao mapa kung ganon? 10 years old? hahahahaha weeenur!

zsa zsa zaturnnah

dadagdag nalang ako ng cast pic. nenok din from their multiply.

talbog lahat ng bading sa kagandahan at kachorvahan ni rustom padilla. as in, super ganda niya. the movie is "too gay" for me. di kaya ng starbucks powers ang bikini costume ni rustom.

so pasok yung mano po at super noypi don. yung zsa zsa kasi, walang drama. action and comedy yung sine. ehe kaya mejo sabaw yung zsazsa. hahaha

sa tatlong napanod ko, i'd go for mano po 5. hindi dahil nakakita ako ng artista sa sinehan, mas may flow yung story. ok sana yung zsa zsa, pero nakakasira ng ulo yung sobrang pagkabading ng story. hahaha

i've never had a solo pic in my phone. it feels weird when i take a picture of myself. so when you browse through my phone pics, everything feels like a "professional photographer" (note the quotation marks).

full-sized photographs and other artsy-fartsy pictures are in my deviant art.

libre naman mangarap. i can share what i feel. haha

gua ai di

>> Sunday, December 24, 2006

it was a different and new experience for me as i went to my first filipino movie premier last night. :)

jace had the passes to watch the premier for mano po 5 because he had to review it for work. knowing that i like christian bautista (haha insert fan girl scream. ehe) and the premier would be in sm north, he invited me over.

why not diba.

i couldn't find a poster that was in a large file. i got this from their website.

the night started with us asking every security guard for the contact person jace needed to look for. we felt like tennis balls being passed from one court to another, until we arrived at the entrance of the cinema. good thing jace's officemate lori arrived and saved our butts from asking again and again and again for the nth time. ehe.

i guess jace memorized the theme song of mano po already because we stood beside the speakers while we were in line.

"My heart has a mind of it's own.
Right or wrong it's gonna do,
only what it feels it's true.
I'll follow it wherever it goes.
Anywhere it leads me too.
My heart has a mind of it's own."

we entered before the celebrities arrived to escape the chaos and the screaming fans. they started to arrive around 9pm.

the movie wasn't so bad at all.

i'll leave the chinese translations to jace, because i don't know anything about the chinese language. ehe. cinematography was nice, even the scenes of the "past life". it was a good mix of comedy and drama. they even had some chinese scenes to show dreams and feelings. i like the fight scene of christian and richard. nice stunts. :)

it was just overkill to make christian bautista's character an international singer. his billboards in edsa were photoshopped to replace his name to "felix yan". as in same album, but only carrying a different name. haha in all fairness, he did look like some boy band. haha

benta sakin ang character ni ketchup eusebio.

i didn't like the screaming fans while we were watching. it didn't matter if they laughed and screamed at the right moments, but it was damn too annoying when they made very loud side comments. think of it, we were seated at the balcony and i could hear their voices from the orchestra. they screamed "i lab yu enjel!! pakasalan na kita!" in the middle of intense moments in the movie. rawr, no movie manners. they didn't even sing the national anthem. *shakes head*

richard gutierrez is handsome, even from afar. very smooth skin and has this smile plastered on his face. angel is simple as you see her on tv. raymond, um, you can tell that it's him even in the dark. promise.

at sa dami-dami ng nakita kong artista, hindi ko manlang nakita si christian bautista. kamusta naman ang life ko. we were seated an aisle away from where they were seated and i didn't even get a glimpse of christian. whazzap tadhana?

sadly, i wasn't able to get any pictures of celebrities. only the line outside and the movie house. haha di ko na iuupload.

thanks for the invite jace. haha i was able to survive a day without starbucks! whohoo!

ALBERT: 0910-6543429

the night started with a high-pitched, shrilly squeal from vit and em, and me in bel field. imagine the gayest persons screaming on the top of lungs in front of gesu.

head count. go!

from the guys: chino, billy, jace, jay, mitch, ryan, quincy, cupcake rj, geopet, xander, vittorio
from the girls: edlyn, helga, chika, jihan, ako, cams, missy, em

yeahoo! finally, a night in bel field under the stars and the twinkling kweesmas lights. my sanity has plunged to the empty cores of the untouched ice tubes, because of that freaking captain barbell-slash-raymond gutierrez joke.

mauuulit uli block e ha. sigurado.

pictures will follow after i nenok from edlyn, chika, billy and rj.

shhh. keep a secret.

i'm gonna die happy if i have a library like this: (taken from random pictures)

"it is a fact that people have secrets. knowing that you will never know some of them adds to the spice of life." - from one of the sunday afternoon shows of ABS-CBN (translation mine)

people are private people. no matter how public their profiles are, they also have secrets to keep. i have secrets that other people do not know. i have secrets that i share. and i know secrets of other people.

but when do we know when to stop knowing the secrets of other people?

women (and sometimes men.. aminin!) watch entertainment news to get the latest buzz on celebrities. they're so famous and much admired that we want to know what's happening to their lives. it seems that knowing their birthday, what they eat for breakfast, what time did they go to the bathroom, etc makes us feel that we are one step closer to them. ordinary people go to great lengths of stalking to show others that they are the ultimate fans or the ultimate friend of that celebrity. they feel that they hold the great fire of life when they are able to acquire the tissue paper that this particular celebrity threw away, or the seat that this celebrity sat on in a movie house.

sometimes, we have to learn that we will never get to know them really because we are not them. there are only two beings that fully know the existence and secrets of that person: the person himself and God.

i admit that i am a fan of several celebrities. i get all twisted and excited when i see a celebrity or get to shake their hand (that was waaay back in grade school). sometimes, even if i'm not a fan of a basketball player or a celebrity, i still get the butterflies when i see them in person. it's more exciting if they remember you the next time you see each other. but i don't go to the extent of hoarding all info because even if i memorized his life line, that doesn't make me more of a friend to him (him: meaning johnny depp, josh groban, johnny depp, josh groban, johnny depp, josh groban... j... :P)

even i will never know the deep dark and dirty secrets of my friends. of course, they have secrets to keep and secrets to tell, but i can't force them to tell me all of their hearts' desires.

knowing a person means trusting and respecting their decisions, trusting and respecting their lives, keeping and respecting their secrets. secrets means responsibilities. responsibility is a big key in keeping a friendship or a relationship. it's gonna be a sucky life if you share the secret with everyone. a close-knit information adds to the spice of life, making it more exciting. but if you carry an top-secret information, you have to carry that responsibility of keeping it to yourself. especially if that information is not solely yours.

people (especially entertainment reporters) should know their limits. over reading actions and words of celebrities may bring them to great trouble. they are people, they have secrets they want to keep. the reporters should respect that some information should be kept inside the homes of the celebrities. if they're willing to share secrets, they'll come to the tv networks and tell their secrets. that way, celebrities will learn to trust reporters. reporters should learn to do responsible reporting because they are reporting about the lives of human beings.

do you have a secret? of course you do. take care of it.

this result came in thrice already for different sites. i'm part of the 1.5% of the population who are INFJs.

take the test!!!!

INFJ Counselers, clergy, missionaries, teachers, medical doctors, dentists, chiropractors, psychologists, psychiatrists, writers, musicians, artists, psychics, photographers, child care workers, education consultants, librarians, marketeers, scientists, social workers.. Blessed with an idealistic vision, they do best when they seek to make that vision a reality.

INFJ - The Mystic

INFJs are future oriented, and direct their insight and inspiration toward the understanding of themselves and thereby human nature. Their work mirrors their integrity, and it needs to reflect their inner ideals. Solitude and an opportunity to concentrate thoroughly on what counts most is important to them. INFJs prefer to quietly exert their influence. They have deeply felt compassion, and they desire harmony with others. INFJs understand the complexities existing within people and among them. They are at their best concentrating on their ideas, ideals, and inspirations.

INFJ children have two sides. They can be very much involved in the world of people, as well as quiet, imaginative, and in their own world. They are usually gentle and abhor violence. As teenager, INFJs look for a small group of people who understand and appreciate them. Without this support, they can feel isolated from others. INFJs who do not find a supportive social group may find the teen years to be somewhat difficult for them because of peer pressure to be popular and activity oriented. They are not likely to enjoy large parties, but prefer intimate groups of close and long-standing friends. Many INFJs who have the opportunity to gravitate toward higher education where they often find their niche. With their intellectual bent, they are led to endeavors that allow them to deal with theory and complexity. Professors often spot their intellectual inclination and encourage it. INFJs often settle early into a career choice and diligently apply themselves to the career's requirements. This same diligent pattern applies when selecting other important things in their lives, such as where to live, who to marry, and what activities are worthy of their dedication. INFJs have an internal picture of how they would like their work to contribute to the general good. If they are in an appropriate career area, INFJs may reap the rewards of their insight and hard work. Because of their future-focus, their people orientation, and their push toward task completion, they may rise to positions of responsibility. Learning

INFJs have a strong love of learning, and they tend to do well academically. Through persistence, diligence, and conscientiousness, they complete their assignments on time. They are likely to enjoy research and will go great lengths to find answers. INFJs enjoy investigating the possibilities and meanings beyond the actual facts and realities. Reading holds a particular fascination for them because it allows them to have quiet reflection time and engages their imagination. They also like the written word (and rely on it more than the spoken word) since it is usually better structured and more coherent with a ready-made framework. INFJs write and communicate well because they want to formulate their ideas clearly. They place high regard on their reader and audience. They seek to communicate their ideals to others. When their ideals need to be championed, they speak up in an enthusiastic and impassioned way. As students, INFJs prefer learning from teachers whom they both like and admire, and who give them personal attention. INFJs are often 'model' students. They are quiet and orderly, reflective and thoughtful, and sincerely want to please their teachers and learn the right thing. They learn best from others but want time to assimilate material by themselves. INFJs will go beyond what has been presented and often mull material over in their minds. Occasionally they will discuss ruminations with others in order to learn even more. They particularly like the more conceptual and theoretical classes, therefore, higher education is comfortable to them.

INFJs tend to be devoted to what they believe in and seek work where their needs, values, and ideals can be deeply engaged. They move on the wave of their inspirations and are determined to see that their values are worked out in their lives. They will work toward their goals individually and, when needed, will put together a team of other highly dedicated people like themselves. They are personal be with others, working with integrity and consistency, and they follow through on their commitments. INFJs, while concentrating on what is important to them, may ignore the political ramifications of their actions. They can be surprised by the necessity of being political and usually resent that aspect of organizational life. Being able to talk honestly and comfortably to people at work is much more important to them than 'playing games.' INFJs orient themselves toward their goals using a personal, values-based framework. They do not 'advertise' their values and priorities because they believe in harmony and positive relationships. However, one would do well not to underestimate the amount of perseverance, energy, and time INFJs give to their priorities. What they do, they do with an almost religious intensity. The INFJ external environment may be only partially organised. Their internal environment, by contrast, is anything but haphazard. Their ideas need to fit into a coherent whole that has the pieces in place. Organization of the internal world takes precedence over organization of external world. INFJs prefer occupations that focus on the big picture, involve conceptual awareness, and lead to a better understanding of the spiritual, emotional, or future needs of people. They want their work to have impact and meaning and for it to bring them admiration and respect. While INFJs can and do enter all occupations, some are more appealing to them than others. These include clergy, education consultant, English teacher, fine arts teacher, librarian, psychiatrist, psychologist, scientist, social worker, and other occupations that allow INFJs an opportunity to make their own creative contribution.

INFJs lead through their quiet yet persistent and determined effort toward long-range goals for themselves, others and their organizations. In working toward their vision, they win cooperation rather than demand it. INFJs work to make their insights real and are able to inspire others with their ideals. They use a low-key, soft, yet intense and determined course of action. When they do not directly lead others, they may still act as facilitators between people. In meetings, they focus on both people and new ideas.

Leisure-time pursuits for INFJs are often solitary or involve the company of others who are particularly important to them. Sitting around with dear friends discussing feelings can be very special to INFJs. INFJs are likely to have friends of long standing rather than make many new acquaintances. They may meet with their friends fairly consistently to share what is happening in their lives. It is sometimes difficult for others to break into this circle. These deep friendships are important, even though INFJs may not share much directly about themselves.

For INFJs, 'still waters run deep.' They tend to become attracted to someone special and prefer this one deep relationship over many superficial ones. The depth of involvement and feeling that the INFJ has toward loved ones is only partially communicated outward. At times, when alone, INFJs become truly in touch with the depth of the love they have for their partner. They may not openly demonstrate or even verbalize their intense feelings. INFJs often have an ideal standard of what love is. They hold to their ideal and are disappointed when, inevitably, their relationship and/or mate reveals flaws. INFJs enjoy sharing activities like a regular 'date,' revisiting the place where they first met their mates, or doing other symbolic things that help to continue and confirm the existence of the bond that they feel for their partner. INFJs want to give love and to be loved. They enter into relationships just to be cared for, even when the person is not right for them and they suspect it. However, when they meet that special person, they are quick to get into the relationship and make it a serious one. They will end their other relationships in order to pursue their loved one. They become very focused, intense, and direct in that pursuit. INFJs, when scorned, take it personally and retreat inward. They may obsess about the relationship and their role in its failure. One INFJ explained, 'people can do the most outrageous things, yet I blame myself for triggering their behaviour or not recognizing it. I see myself as responsible for relationships. Other people can dismiss them --- I'm not able to.' INFJs may blame themselves and experience a period of mourning. If they do not marshall their resources, externalized their feelings, and take risks to move on, they may experience a long periods of self-examination.

we welcome the first philippine idol, mau marcelo. congratulations!

i'm really disappointed with the turn-out of the competition. as hyped as american idol was and is, i was expecting the same for philippine idol. but when i watched the weekend performance, the place wasn't even 3/4 full. large tarps of the idols filled the bleachers, and not screaming fans. general admission was deserted. the fans were scattered.

and the sound system? a great big flop.

anyway, the big three deserve to be the big three. i wouldn't mind if gian would win, or jan or mau, because the three of them are worthy to become the first philippine idol.

the jan advantage: his sex appeal is just too tasty. i didn't like him at first because of his mouth placement and shaky vibrato. however, in the duration of the competition, he has improved a lot, both in terms of vocals and stage presence. his raw talent earned him the screaming blue fans at the upper and lower boxes.
the jan disadvantage: the rumors about his parents. i won't talk about it.

the gian advantage: total package of a performer. his theatrical background taught him how to move on stage, the proper gestures for his songs, and his choice of songs. he has this smile on his face that is just irresistible.
the gian disadvantage: the ex-girlfriend that caused his emo-ness. WHO CAN EVER LET GO OF A GIAN MAGDANGAL? (ehe. fangirl scream. chos. scream with me kakai!)

the mau advantage: she's a damn good diva. her voice is powerful and full. winning numerous singing contests has given her the confidence and the aura to become a singer.
the mau disadvantage: her image is not for an international level. i hope she improves on her english and her choice of clothing. people will still look for star-quality in a singer. mau will need it a lot.

last night's performances were better than last saturday. i didn't like the sound system at all, which caused me to fall asleep during mau's last performance. ehe, sorry. anyway, i kept myself awake all throughout the "concert" last night. and i loved it.

i enjoyed all performances. i was just bothered to the "boy toy" shirts of drae, reymond and ken when they sang with the sex bomb. it was too much. hehe

the best part was when the top 12 sang the compositions of mr c. miguel's song was good, and the lyrics was appropriate for him. :) they all look stunning in their gowns. jelli is a model material. she can carry herself well. apple's dress looked like she nicked it from a 6-year old flower girl. ehehe.

the competition is over, and mau is now our representative for the asian/world idol. congratulations and don't let the philippines down!

and to end this post, i made a video for josh groban's new song, lullaby. i wanted it to be purely african, but i couldn't find enough pictures. :) i'm damn proud of it.

GELPI went to sacred heart sun valley to present a story for their christmas party. quincy (or as we call him, the gelpi mascot) was the kid pacifier and the trampoline of the kids. i enjoyed myself by taking pictures of the super hyperactive children.

one of the kids, reyna, loved to talk to us. here was one of the many conversations we had.

reyna: i'm going to study in st. scho.
me: when?
reyna: sometime. when i graduate from sacred heart. my sister is studying there.
me: how old is your sister?
reyna: seven.
me: and you are?
reyna: four.
me: do you have a kuya?
reyna: yeah. he's 11 years old.
me: where is your kuya studying?
reyna: um. i don't know eh.
me: you didn't ask?
reyna: i don't want to know.

san ba ako pwede bumili ng 500,000 small boxes (as in the tiniest box in the philippines)??? i need them by first week of january. tulungan niyo naman ako, help me find a store that sells those kinds of boxes. at kung magkano per box. this is for my friend. and for starbucks. hahaha basta, may connection yon.

i looove tito norman's dog, madame. she's a golden retriever and is the family dog of the nacpil family. when we ate dinner at his house yesterday, madame was lying down beside me. she enjoyed the occasional rub behind her ear. she's sooo irresistible. i even sat down on the floor after eating just to run my hand over her sleek body. she's such a wonderful dog.

middle finger. the gesture may be obscene, especially to adults, but this gesture is beginning to be an every day expression for the young generation. it may be a sign of frustration, a sign of anger, or a joke. it may also be simply a finger up, just like as you put up any other finger.

i watched Tanghalang Ateneo's production of "middle finger po" yesterday. it was about the frustrations of students studying in a catholic school where every thing has to be followed by the book. i share some of the sentiments because i myself came from a catholic high school. hair has to be this long, socks should be up to this certain height, shoes should not have heels, a chemise should be worn under the uniform, etc, etc. you're bombarded with the doctrines and lives of the saints and sometimes you feel that you're far from being a saint yourself. some students give up on the pressure and go the other way. they become the deliquents or the bad influences of the school community.

middle finger touches on what happens to the students outside the classroom. what they do when they're absent, when they're truant, when they have family problems, when they're horny, when they're entering their puberty, when they have crushes, when their teacher picks on them, and when their hair grow long.

the play is as shocking as reality. you never know who among your friends is keeping porn cards in their bags, or who is addicted to video games. teachers don't trust their students that much anymore. when a student writes a beautifully written essay on life and mystery, the teacher would think that they copied from a book or someone else did wrote it for them. have the students become that bad for the teachers to lose their trust? or maybe the students have lost hope that they will never be a good citizen and will remain a headache to society? i sense a middle finger rising now.

when you reach a snake's head, you go down the board. ladders, you go up. that's the concept of middle finger's stage, thanks to the explanation of reamur. you do a bad thing, you get punished. you do good, you are complimented. the students find it difficult to climb the ladder, and they find themselves sliding down to the lower numbered boxes. everything is separated by a wired fence. you can poke your arm to reach what you want, but you can never get it until you climb a ladder.

middle finger is not for the young, a level of maturity and understanding is needed to see beyond the butt and underwear exposures (mas matindi parin ang butt exposure ni jake sa frankenstein!), masturbation, smacks, prostitution, porn cards, curses and a lot of middle fingers. if that is what you see, then you are one of the school administrators in the play. but if you see what is inside the hearts and minds of jakob, lunga, wallace and yachin, then congratulations, you may climb the ladder to square number 100.

congrats to TA for a wonderful play. congrats to my dear fluff, i see you as a concerned parent and not a little fish anymore. :D thanks to reamur for the pictures. :) da best talaga TA.
